I admit, I’m not a huge fan of large pieces of raw onions. I usually pick them off salads if I can. But I absolutely adore the smell and taste of onions simmered in a pan (especially with garlic)! Besides the fact that they add so much wonderful flavour to any dish, they’re also really good for you. Here’s a quickie on some of the surprising benefits of onions.
